Our Holiday Camps are suitable for adventurous children aged 5 to 14 yrs!
Our camps include den building, bush craft, bug hunting, nature arts and crafts, relaxing in hammocks, mindfulness in nature, environmental arts & crafts, games & a 'chill out' bell tent... Come on! Let's get outside!

For a full day in the woods, from 9am until 4pm, you can leave your child in our capable hands!
Children do not need to be accompanied at our holiday clubs. A parental consent form will be emailed to you to bring on the day, but we will have spares to fill out if you forget.
We are Ofsted registered, and can accept Childcare Vouchers and Tax free childcare vouchers/Credits. Please contact Esther prior to booking at insideoutforestschool@gmail.com

A short video on where to meet, park and your arrival at the woods.
Once you have parked up or arrived at the stone pillars....this short video now shows you how to walk into our woods and a sneak peak of our amazing site. This would be good to show any children new to our holiday camps.

From October to even as late as March we advise to dress your children in the following for sessions/parties/camps!
Warm base layers are a MUST...it's all about the layers, they really do trap the heat.
Ski salopettes are great but not essential, jogging bottoms or fleecy leggings are just as good under water proof trousers.
A thick waterproof coat/ski jacket is essential.
add ons: Hat, gloves, scarf, necker and THICK socks!!
*REMEMBER yuor child may be outside from 2-7 hrs in very cold temperatures!

How to keep dry in the rain...

Add jogging bottoms or leggings under water proof trousers.
Wellies or sturdy boots

You can access this Hague street pick up point from Whitfield or Derbyshire Level, see map above
For Holiday Camps ONLY drop off
Directions: There is NO parking permitted along Chunal Lane or within Gnat Hole Farm. Please meet us on Hague Street (before it turns into Kidd Road and then leads to Derbyshire Level). There is a little walled area with a memorial bench inside it. This is situated opposite ‘Lane Ends Farm’. We will place our banners here (so you can spot us easily) and members of our staff will be here to meet your children. We will then walk the children down a public footpath next to this spot, that leads to our ‘upper base camp’.
At pick up time we will all walk together from our base camp to meet parents at the end of the lane for 4pm.
Directions: Enter the Ladydale Estate onto Ashenhurst Way, drive to the very bottom where you'll see a public footpath just before the start of the new housing estate. It will be signposted. We will be waiting to greet you there.
Please note: Refunds are not available, but you can still transfer your bookings to another date within that camp. Unfortunately, you cannot transfer your booking to another camp, e.g., Easter to Summer Camp. We feel that we keep our prices low in comparison to other Forest School companies who charge double and more. The admin of refunding bookings would mean we would have to raise our prices in future.
Our instructors are Forest School trained, have fully enhanced DBS checks, are outdoor first aid trained with an emphasis on child first aid, and are qualified in food safety and catering. All our activities are risk assessed.
Whatever the weather children will need suitable outdoor clothing and appropriate footwear. Waterproof jacket, boots or wellies, long trousers (waterproof trousers are recommended) and long-sleeved tops are required in all weathers due to brambles, nettles and biting insects. Insect repellent and sun cream may be required.
